THREE-YEAR OLDS
We focus on building the foundations for learning and loving school.
Our students work on social skills such as sharing and taking turns; finger strength and fine motor skills; gross motor exercise; classroom management such as sitting during a story and transitioning; and discussion of letters, shapes, numbers, counting, name recognition/writing and colors. No Naps for either the morning or full day.
FOUR-YEAR OLDS
We focus on preparing children for the next step in their education: kindergarten. Our classrooms are similar to a kindergarten classroom with circle time, centers, large group activities and small group/one-on-one time with the teachers.
Our four-year olds are exposed to letter, number and shape recognition; sound blending; geometry; math; science; and writing/journaling.
TODDLERS
This will be a new program for toddlers under 3 and their mom/dad/care giver. Classes are an interactive parent/caregiver and toddler experience. Each day will begin circle time songs. After songs there will be parent assisted arts & crafts, sensory bin exploration, music, and pretend play. Then we will head off to the playground for some outdoor play. Finally we will finish our day with a parent-supplied snack and closing circle.
MUSIC
Our music teacher comes in each week to teach our students songs, play musical instruments, and dance with a parachute .
She also prepares our students to perform at our Christmas Program, Easter Sing for Spring Concert, and Pre-K Graduation.
FIELD TRIPS & EVENTS
We schedule two field trips with our students and their parents/families – Tolmachoff Farms and the World Wildlife Zoo.
We also have fun events all through the year such as a Donuts with Dads, Muffins with Mom, Halloween Costume Parade, Crazy Hair Days, Pajama Day, Silly Sock Day, Easter Egg Hunts, etc.
CHAPEL TIME
Each week we meet with Pastor Denny and Pastor Jeremy for Chapel Time. We discuss a “Big Idea” such as God Loves Me, I Am a Masterpiece, etc. We also sing songs, dance and celebrate birthdays.
Our pastors actively demonstrate the message of the week, talk about the bible, and teach them about God, Jesus, the Holy Spirit, and prayer.
